2nd Highest Beginning Teacher Pay

Lebanon School District is the 2nd-highest beginning teach pay and 15th place ranking in average pay. Both are significant increases from last year.

Concerns regarding "Project Central Perk"

Several Lebanon residents and business owners expressed concerns during Tuesday night’s Lebanon City Council meeting.

Owners of Cedar City Brewing and Sammy B’s shared their frustrations. They are not concerned with the competition but the allocation of tax payer dollars creating unfair circumstances.

Mayor Bell clarified the tax revenue used for the incentive is not from Lebanon resident tax dollars but from the hotel/motel tax. He continued by reinstating these tax dollars can not be used for firefighting or police officers.

The capital investment by the restaurant will be $8.9 million, and it will provide 85-100 jobs.
