A restaurant older than Mt Juliet

Plus, a new coffee shop, get a new wardrobe, and monster trucks.

Good morning, Wilson County. Finally a day without treacherous downfalls, hurricane-strength winds, and lighting.

In today’s WilCo Beat:

  • Oldest dinner in Wilson County (beat you can’t guess it)

  • Fancy a new dress or trousers

  • A new coffee shop

Let’s get to it.

- Travis Dailey

Oldest restaurant in Wilson County

Bet you can’t guess it? 1, 2, 3…

Times up.

Did you get it?

It’s the Snow White Drive-In. (If you got it right, give us a shout and share on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,...wherever.)

Snow White Drive-in opened in 1952. Oddly enough that’s 20 years before Mt Juliet was incorporated.

Enough of the fun facts, right?

Most restaurants don’t last more than eight years. Snow White Drive-in has been serving classic dinner food for over 70 years. You don’t get there by accident.

While their menu and owners have changed many times, their customers have not. They’ve remained loyal and continue to visit the drive-in regularly. Drive by on a warm summer evening and you’ll see the tables and parking lots filled.

With an average star rating of 4.5/5 stars on Facebook with 1,613 reviews and an average star rating of 4.6/5 stars on Google with 1,890, you can not go wrong.

The menu has at least one thing even the pickiest eater would like. If a friend can’t find something to eat off their menu, you need to find a new friend. Just sayin’.

Can not put it better than Mason did.

And to sweeten the deal, if you’re into hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, and bikes, then you’ll want to stop by Snow White Drive-in this Saturday (July 22) between 10 AM and 3 PM for a show. You can learn more at makersfarmacy.com.

See you at the drive-in! 🫡
